The Pend Oreille County Historical Society does not want to see the Finch Lodge at Camp Cowles on Diamond Lake demolished. Boy Scouts can earn a merit badge by explaining the function of the National Register of Historical Places and should be encouraged to pursue history of the area. Tearing down the Finch Lodge would show them that historical buildings are not important.
